Valentines day that was

So i thought that valentines day never happens on sundays and on your birthday either. Walking by the Uhuru park in Nairobi dotted with red and black of promising lovers savouring the fresh air of the park..well the men were ofcourse missing the mark of the day especially at the museum nature walk where they wore safari boots to match their cowboy hats and the winter jackets to complete the valentines cowboy!!
Oh you want to see some pics..? you just had to be there..
And the rasta drummers gyrating their body the full rhythms of nonsense chants in an pseudoafrican hum and chatter......I guess they are too high so i offer my 50 bob to their offering reeds bown or basket maybe ,..ya a basket coz it was big enough to carry 100 USD in Zimbabwaean dollars! The ofcourse get quite some audience as the open mouthed 'she' drifters from the North and west are moving to the rythms and may be looking for a life partner!
I know they sell some amazing sweets at the Hare Krishna temple and so I take my special valentines date to the shop for an assortment of chocolate and 'other' Hare hare hare krishna sweets...

Yes and i spotted this amazing bright white bellied "augur buzzard" and ofcourse i had annoy my date that i need a picture of ...." she doesn't understand" ..ya may be soon.. How? apparently i have to catch a baby snow leopard! yes the most rare cat in the world!! But I have a plan...
"I will be a Nat Geo photographer and then she will be my partner!

Meanwhile the Mountain is losing alot of snow and glacier and Mt Elgon is beckoning as its moorlands and elephant caves are just so amazing and I lust for them.....

In 2 weeks I will bode a bus to western kenya to awe at the allure of the western rainy circuit..home to the only remaining stand of the Eastern Equitorial rain forest- kakamega!!

Escape with me to the wilderness soon!!1
